There may be some big developments within Atomic Rule, the heavy new project spearheaded by Andy Williams (ex-Every Time I Die). A recently shared 20+ minute studio preview has fans speculating that the band may have quietly found both a vocalist and a new drummer.
In the clip, James Hendergroove — known for his production work on Cabin In The Woods — is seen manning the mic, leading many to believe he’s officially stepping in as the group’s frontman. While there’s been no formal announcement, his presence has sparked plenty of chatter about what’s next for the band.
Even more noteworthy is the absence of Chris Maggio (ex-Trap Them) behind the drum kit. Instead, Kevin Boutot (ex-The Acacia Strain, Dry Kill Logic) appears to be filling that role. Boutot abruptly exited The Acacia Strain in mid-2023 after nearly 20 years, citing a need to spend more time with his family.
The most recent version of the lineup appears to include:
- Andy Williams (guitar)
- Travis Bennington (Eternal Sleep, bass)
- James Hendergroove (vocals?)
- Kevin Boutot (drums?)
The band shared the following message with the clip:
“Atomic Rule has been kicking ass this week! Music is coming very soon! New teesh is gonna be out with it and they rock!!! Party on!”
While no official lineup announcement has been made, it seems that Atomic Rule is ramping up — and something big may be right around the corner.
