Lithuanian progressive metal band Black Spikes have premiered the music video for “APATIJA,” a track from their latest album ‘Ydos’, released August 28 through Napalm Records. Directed by Rokas Baškys, the video accompanies a song whose Lithuanian title translates to “Apathy.” Drawing on folk-inspired lyrics, the track tells the story of a mother waiting for a son who never returns, exploring how grief can become loneliness and emotional paralysis.

A Perfect Circle have released an official music video for “Starless,” their first new single in roughly eight years. The video was filmed by Jon Vulpine and Justin Jones during the song’s live debut at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on June 3, 2026. The band continue to prepare for an expanded touring schedule into 2027 while working on a follow-up to 2018’s ‘Eat The Elephant’.
Gorgatron have debuted “Cleansed,” the first single from their upcoming album ‘Turmoil’, arriving December 11 through Time To Kill Records. Vocalist Cameron Dewald explains that the song was born from frustration with former management, ex-members, the music business, and other negative influences. He describes writing the lyrics as a way to mentally purge those experiences, adding that the band is now in a healthier and happier place.
The Dillinger Escape Plan and Nora’s 1998 split EP is finally getting its first vinyl release, nearly three decades after the original CD-only release. Two limited variants are planned: a half-gray, half-pink edition available in person at The Dillinger Escape Plan’s October shows and an orange-and-black splatter version through Ferret Music. The release coincides with the band’s final ‘Calculating Infinity’ anniversary dates, bringing their extended celebration of the influential mathcore album to a close.
Deafheaven have surprise-released their new three-track EP, ‘At Work In The Fields Of The Bomb’, which guitarist Kerry McCoy has called the heaviest release in the band’s catalog and their closest approach to black metal. Inspired by Robert Del Tredici’s photography book documenting the people and places involved in nuclear weapons production, the EP explores the ordinary decisions and systems behind catastrophic consequences. The release features “Hunter,” “Three Princes,” and “Sorry Laid The Hearth,” with a short film accompanying the opening track.
Linkin Park have announced a limited edition red smoke vinyl pressing of their 2012 album ‘Living Things’, set to arrive on November 20, 2026. The album achieved platinum status in the United States in August 2017 and features fan favorites such as “Burn It Down,” “Lost In The Echo,” and “Castle Of Glass.” Pre-orders for the new vinyl edition are available now through the band’s official store.
Mastodon have announced a limited edition pressing of their latest album, ‘Marrow Deep’, featuring actual mastodon teeth ground into powder and incorporated into the vinyl. Only 170 copies will be made, with fans able to enter a raffle for the chance to obtain one. The band helped oversee the unusual manufacturing process, which involved assistance from a local geology department and Waxworks, with Loma Vista Recordings helping bring the project together.
Motionless In White have released a live video for “R.I.P.” featuring Skylar Grey, using footage from performances at the Kia Forum in California and Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado. The song appears on the band’s latest album, ‘Decades’, and the release arrives as they prepare for the second leg of their Sweat and Blood Tour. The band described performing with Grey as a career highlight.
Sleeping With Sirens, Saosin and Escape The Fate have been announced as the latest additions to the 2027 Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival lineup. They join previously revealed acts including A Perfect Circle, PeelingFlesh, Emmure and Showing Teeth, with the full lineup announcement scheduled for next week. The four-day festival will take place May 13–16 at Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
Filth have released the music video for “Shell Town,” a track from their March EP ‘Welcome To Shell Town’, which pays tribute to the band’s hometown of Shelby, North Carolina. Directed by Toddi Babu, whose credits include Saliva and Traitors, the new video arrives ahead of Filth’s December tour with Narcotic Wasteland and Killcrown.
