    AVENGED SEVENFOLD’s M. Shadows Sends Heartfelt Message To Released Israeli Hostages Who Bonded Over Love For The Band

    Two lifelong friends and devoted Avenged Sevenfold fans — Evyatar David and Guy Gilboa-Dalal — have been reunited after spending two years in captivity in Gaza following their abduction by Hamas in the fall of 2023. The pair, both childhood friends, endured much of their ordeal together after being taken hostage.

    David and Gilboa-Dalal were attending the Nova Music Festival on October 7th, 2023, when Hamas launched its devastating raid that left hundreds dead and many others kidnapped. That attack marked the beginning of the violent Israel-Gaza conflict, which continued until this month.

    The two were finally freed this week as part of an ongoing hostage-prisoner exchange connected to a tentative peace deal aimed at ending the conflict. Upon their return to Israel, the friends were seen listening to Avenged Sevenfold together in the hospital — a full-circle moment after the band’s music had helped them endure captivity.

    After learning of their story through the Israeli Avenged Sevenfold fan community, the band sent a personal video message from vocalist M. Shadows, who said:

    “Evyatar and Guy, so excited to hear you guys are home today. We’ve been following the story closely. We knew that you guys were A7X fans, and we appreciate it so much.”

    A video capturing Gilboa-Dalal’s reaction shows him visibly emotional, even noting that he and Evyatar had listened to the band’s music the night before. He added that hearing their songs again was “so much better than imagining it for two years.”

          Brian Okane Ign^rant. First of all, what is y0ur source? Anyway, from what I read, Israel is not “holding” children “as young as 3 years old”… Children as young as that are just taken just for a disciplinary talk and then return them. In the past, Israel didn’t even bother or arrest children who just threw some stones. But lke every moral thing that Israel does, the Palestinians learn how to cynically exploit that. So they used to send children just for that to annoy the soldiers,cuz they know that they can’t respond. They could even send very little children just to be around the soldiers (yes, this is how dumb the parents are), and the soldiers couldn’t do their job. But often, it got seriously violent, as some children aged 7 or 10 really injured soldiers. Israel shifted strategy and decided to take children who commit such ter^rorist acts to the police station just for a disciplinary talk and then return them.

      This is cool, reminds me of when Alice in Chains gave a bunch of cool stuff to Mike Durant who was one of the helicopter pilots who survived the black hawk down scenario. He listened to AIC while in captivity in Somalia.
