Avenged Sevenfold have unveiled a new music video for “STATICA,” the title track from the band’s recently launched electronic side project of the same name.
Directed by Lance Drake, the video arrives just one week after the surprise release of STATICA’s self-titled four-song EP, which debuted on July 24th without the traditional promotional campaign typically associated with an Avenged Sevenfold release.
The project represents a significant departure from the band’s established alternative metal and hard rock sound, embracing a heavily electronic and experimental approach that has sparked mixed reactions among fans.
Since the EP’s release, listener response has been notably divided, with some fans praising the band’s willingness to explore new creative territory while others have expressed a preference for the group’s more conventional metal-driven material.
