Long‑out‑of‑print urb‑metal/hardcore outfit Burnt By The Sun are getting a full‑tilt vinyl reissue run through Relapse Records, with their core catalog set to return to shelves on June 5. The reissue docket covers the band’s three proper studio albums—‘Soundtrack To The Personal Revolution’, ‘The Perfect Is The Enemy Of The Good’, and ‘Heart Of Darkness’.
Alongside the individual LPs, Relapse is also offering a deluxe boxset limited to 261 copies, which bundles all three records plus an exclusive bonus 12″. That extra disc will pack the group’s 2001 self‑titled debut EP and a collection of tracks from their various split releases, giving fans a deep‑dive capsule of the band’s relatively short but influential run.
Burnt By The Sun disbanded in 2009 and last played together live in July 2011, but the band’s activity this year—kicking off with new social media posts earlier in 2026—had already sparked talk of a potential reunion. These reissues feel like a bookend of sorts, aimed both at old‑heads who still swear by the band’s aggressive, rhythmically unhinged sound and a new generation of listeners just discovering their back catalog.
Pre‑orders for the vinyl pressings and the boxset are live now via relapse.com, where the label is also offering a small line of Burnt By The Sun‑themed merch to accompany the collection.
