Burn Eternal, a newly unveiled project bringing together Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz and former Killswitch Engage vocalist Howard Jones, have officially launched their first single, “Wounds I’ve Made.”
The track also serves as the opening song on the group’s upcoming self-titled debut album, which is scheduled for release on February 26, 2027, through Metal Blade Records.
The recording features Dan Gluszak of Times Of Grace, who handled the studio drumming. Jones explained that the song centers on confronting past mistakes, accepting difficult changes and finding a way to move forward:
“‘Wounds I’ve Made’ is about both acknowledging mistakes and regrets of the past, while also constantly evolving and moving forward. Sometimes change hurts, but it’s necessary for self-growth and to avoid being stuck in the past. Some relationships aren’t meant to be.”
Dutkiewicz also reflected on the long road to finally sharing the track, revealing that it was among the earliest songs he wrote for the project approximately six years ago:
“We are glad to finally release ‘Wounds I’ve Made.’ It’s crazy to think that this was one of the first songs I wrote for this project… six years ago! I really hope you guys dig it.”
The nine-track ‘Burn Eternal’ album will feature the following songs:
- “Wounds I’ve Made”
- “No Escape”
- “Blackheart”
- “To Bear The Cross”
- “Scared Of Shadows”
- “Bitter Pill”
- “Learning To Let Go”
- “Born Again”
- “Fell Silent”
Pre-orders for the debut album are available through the band’s official pre-order page.
