Attila frontman Chris Fronzak sparked headlines earlier this week after questioning the continued functionality of the clean water wells built in Africa by YouTuber/philanthropist MrBeast back in 2023. On social media, Fronzak cited reports he had heard claiming that 100 wells originally installed under the initiative had fallen into disrepair and were no longer usable.
MrBeast responded directly, calling the rumor “a flat out lie” and revealing that an audit had recently confirmed the wells were still operational. Fronzak then challenged MrBeast to provide proof, offering to donate $5,000 to the newly launched TeamWater initiative if he was wrong.
That initiative aims to raise $40 million to install more clean water wells for communities in need. Overnight, MrBeast posted video evidence, saying:
“People desperate for ad revenue have falsely claimed that the 100 wells I built for people in need don’t work anymore WITH ZERO PROOF! So I sent someone to EVERY SINGLE WELL to get video proof of them all still working over a year later. Checkmate liars. He followed up directly with Fronzak, adding:
“Check my new tweet. Literal video proof. Go donate ?? ”
True to his word, Fronzak made the $5,000 donation to TeamWater, stating:
“This is amazing, thank you for providing clarity. I am a man of my word, so as I promised, here is proof of my $5,000 donation! I genuinely hope you hit your goal and everything succeeds smoothly. #TeamWater”
