DevilDriver have premiered the official music video for “Strike And Kill,” the title track from the band’s upcoming studio album, Strike And Kill.
Directed by Eddie Melendez, the new visual arrives just days before the album’s release on July 10 via Napalm Records. The track showcases the band’s trademark blend of groove-laden aggression and relentless intensity while offering fans another taste of what to expect from the highly anticipated record.
Speaking about the song, Dez Fafara explained the meaning behind the track:
“‘Strike And Kill’ is a song about individuals that have to learn lessons the hard way. Sometimes in life, you need to learn things the hard way in order to make your next decision or next move properly. Beware the moves you make at midnight behind emotion and without any thought of consequence. For you will learn lessons, and they will be taught to you the hard way.”
The veteran frontman, who is also known for his work with Coal Chamber, has frequently explored themes of personal accountability and self-reflection throughout his career, and “Strike And Kill” continues that tradition with a powerful message delivered through the band’s crushing sound.
To support the release of Strike And Kill, DevilDriver will hit the road later this summer for a headlining North American tour featuring support from Upon A Burning Body and Ov Sulfur.
