Dropout Kings have released a new music video for “Brace Yourself,” paying tribute to their late vocalist Adam Ramey.
Directed by Brian Bradley, the video serves as a heartfelt celebration of Ramey’s life, legacy, and impact on the band and its fans. The track originally appeared on “Yokai,” the group’s 2025 album, which now stands as the final full-length release featuring Ramey.
The Arizona-based trap metal outfit lost their frontman last year when Ramey tragically died by suicide following struggles with addiction. In unveiling the new video, the band reflected on the power of music, friendship, and community while encouraging fans to remember the person who helped build the foundation of Dropout Kings.
In a statement accompanying the release, the band spoke about the healing power of art and the bonds forged through music, ultimately dedicating the video to their fallen brother.
“It’s in this spirit that we ask you to look back with us at and share what made us who we are and our beloved King who started it all. Our brother, Adam Ramey. Brace Yourselves.”
The tribute offers fans a chance to celebrate Ramey’s contributions to the band while honoring the memories and connections created through his music.
