Korn bassist Fieldy isn’t ruling out a return to the band, but he’s not heading back anytime soon either.
For those who may not be aware, Fieldy stepped down from Korn in 2021. He was replaced by Ra Diaz for live performances and has yet to rejoin the band. Although on hiatus, Fieldy did record bass for Korn‘s 2022 album Requiem.
After a period of silence, Fieldy unexpectedly resurfaced earlier this year in an interview with Basement Talk. He revealed that he hadn’t spoken to his bandmates since 2019, despite stepping away in 2021. He added:
“They’re truckin’. They’re a machine. They’re going. It’s insane. It’s dope that they can keep on going like that. It’s cool to see them keep on going, but I need to chill.”

Now, in a new interview with The Dr. Greenthumb Show, Fieldy was asked by a fan if he would return to Korn anytime soon. While he didn’t completely rule it out, he responded:
“I won’t be playing any shows, but we’ll see what tomorrow brings. You never know. But for now, no. I’ve got plenty to do.”
At this point, it’s unclear what’s happening behind the scenes with Korn and Fieldy.

Eric Rosas I think I would rather just see Ra Diaz step up and write and record bass for their next album. Ra Diaz is an amazing bassist. He even recorded some Rush music videos with Charlie Benante on YouTube that are really good. I’d rather Fieldy just stay away until he is 100% ready to return.
