Texas melodic metalcore outfit Gore. are gearing up to release a new EP this fall, and have now unveiled another preview of the effort with a music video for “Crucified.”
Titled ‘…Then You Cannot Love Me’, the seven-track EP is slated for October 9 through Spinefarm. The new single follows “Lead Me To The Slaughter,” which arrived in June.
According to vocalist Haley Roughton, “Crucified” explores the push and pull of being drawn toward someone despite knowing exactly where that attraction could lead.
“This song is about someone who is so seductive that they lead you right into temptation. They have you wrapped around their finger, and they know it. You idolize them.”
The track’s accompanying video was directed by Dylan Scott Hryciuk.
‘…Then You Cannot Love Me’ will also serve as the follow-up and companion piece to Gore.’s October 2025 EP, ‘If You Do Not Fear Me…’. The band intentionally designed the two releases to represent different stages in their developing sound.
Roughton explained:
“We wanted a more looming, cynical sound in the first EP and as time went on, we wanted to develop the sound towards something closer to what we want to sound like as a band together.”
She added that the two releases are ultimately intended to connect as part of the same musical progression.
“I’m hoping the fans, especially those who have been with us since day one, can see the evolution and how those two connect.”
‘…Then You Cannot Love Me’ will feature the following seven tracks:
