Melodic metalcore outfit Gore. have released the official music video for their latest single, “Lead Me To The Slaughter.” The band directed the video themselves, offering a visual companion to a track they’ve already begun performing live.
According to the band, the song explores themes of idolization, social influence, and the dangers of blindly following figures or ideas that ultimately cause harm.
“This song is about being indoctrinated into a cult, and idolizing what kills you. Idolatry is rampant beyond human repair with social media — we now look at people like they’re gods. We idolize money, fame, and beauty more now than we ever have as a society. These idols will lead us to nothing but guilt, shame, and suffering.”
The release arrives as Gore. wrap up their current tour alongside Kittie. Later this year, the band will head overseas for a European and UK run supporting I Prevail, alongside Polaris and Amira Elfeky.
