Iron Maiden are extending their ‘Run For Your Lives Tour’ with a third and final North American leg in 2027, adding dates across the United States and Canada before closing out the run with headlining appearances at Sonic Temple and Boardwalk Rock.
The newly announced shows will feature Bullet For My Valentine and The Raven Age as support on the non-festival dates. The announcement also confirms Iron Maiden as the first headliner for the 2027 edition of Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio, as well as a headlining performance at Boardwalk Rock in Ocean City, Maryland.
The news comes after the British heavy metal icons had been planning to take a break from live performances in 2027. However, bassist Steve Harris explained that the band’s experience on the current North American run ultimately changed those plans, prompting them to bring the production to regions they missed.
“As many of our fans know, Maiden were planning on taking a break from live performances in 2027, but we’ve been enjoying this last leg in the USA and Canada so much that we all had a chat and decided we should take the show to parts we missed, particularly the North West and South East. It just seems fair to our many fans there who have given us tremendous support for so many years. We can’t get everywhere but we can try!
Also, we have always enjoyed playing the many great festivals that are in Europe and wanted to experience a couple more in the USA which we will do at the end of the tour in Columbus and Maryland. At festivals you are not just playing to your own fans so it’s always a challenge and we all love a challenge!”
The itinerary begins on April 14 in Tacoma, Washington, and travels through the West Coast, Southwest, Texas, and Southeast before heading north and east. The two festival appearances will bring the tour to a close in May.
