Silvertomb, the doom metal outfit featuring former Type O Negative members Kenny Hickey and Johnny Kelly, have released a new lyric video for their latest single, “Brain Matter/No God.” The track arrived on October 16 and serves as the opening song on the band’s forthcoming album, ‘The Interpretation Of Nightmares.’
Due out November 13 through SPV, the new record marks the group’s next chapter, with “Brain Matter/No God” establishing its dark atmosphere from the outset. The band’s lineup also draws on the history of Agnostic Front, Sheer Terror and other veteran acts.
Hickey explained that the song was the first piece written for the album, with its central riff helping shape the broader musical direction of the record.
“‘Brain Matter/No God’ was the first song written and opens the record with the heavy, thematic riff that returns in one form or the other throughout the work. The lyrics describe a nightmare in which the dreamer is shot and experiences his own death inside a dream!”
Silvertomb will celebrate the album’s arrival with a record release show at Saint Vitus in Brooklyn, New York, on November 14, one day after ‘The Interpretation Of Nightmares’ hits stores.
The new lyric video for “Brain Matter/No God” is available now.
