Ozzy Osbourne is entering the world of martial arts apparel through a new officially licensed collaboration between his estate and New York-based combat culture brand Half Sumo. The collection will debut on October 23, bringing the late Black Sabbath legend’s iconic imagery to Brazilian jiu-jitsu gear and limited-edition streetwear.
The collaboration will feature two main offerings: the “Crazy Train” No-Gi Set, consisting of a rashguard and grappling shorts, and the “Prince of Darkness” Streetwear Set, a selection of casual apparel inspired by Ozzy’s enduring legacy.
Although Ozzy was not widely associated with martial arts, he practiced tai chi in his later years. His son, Jack Osbourne, has a more direct connection to combat sports, having trained in jiu-jitsu and other martial arts and earned a purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
According to the announcement, the collection brings together two cultures built around perseverance, discipline and an outsider mentality. Half Sumo, which launched in 2018, is known for blending combat sports apparel with Japanese-inspired artwork and streetwear aesthetics.
Half Sumo co-founders Luigi Scarcella and Alberto Marchetti spoke about the personal significance of the partnership:
“We both grew up as lifelong Ozzy fans. Having the opportunity to collaborate on this project is a genuine honor for us and a way to celebrate his incredible legacy. Ozzy was the original underdog, and jiu-jitsu is built on that same spirit of the smaller person who refuses to quit.”
What’s Included In The Ozzy Osbourne Collection?
The “Crazy Train” No-Gi Set features a fully sublimated rashguard and matching grappling shorts designed for training and competition. The apparel incorporates Ozzy-inspired artwork in red, purple and bone white, including skulls, bats and the singer’s recognizable logo. References to classic songs such as “Mr. Crowley,” “Bark at the Moon,” “No More Tears” and “War Pigs,” alongside the ‘Blizzard of Ozz’ album, are woven into the designs.
The “Prince of Darkness” Streetwear Set will offer limited-run everyday apparel, including a zip-up hoodie featuring a bat-wing Ozzy emblem and graphic T-shirts depicting the singer alongside bats, song titles and Japanese lettering. Additional designs are expected to be revealed when the collection launches.
The collaboration is being positioned as an officially licensed tribute to Ozzy, who died in July 2025, following his farewell “Back to the Beginning” performance at Villa Park. Half Sumo’s designs draw on the musician’s distinctive iconography while incorporating the company’s own visual style, influenced by Ukiyo-e artwork and traditional Japanese tattoo art.
Quantities will be strictly limited, with no restocks planned. Fans can sign up for early access through the dedicated Half Sumo Ozzy Osbourne collection page. The company is also planning an Ozzy-themed Halloween pop-up on Saturday, October 24, at its Brooklyn headquarters at 247 Water Street, Brooklyn, New York, where the collection will be available in person.
