Korn are marking the upcoming 30th anniversary of their landmark sophomore album ‘Life Is Peachy’ with a new limited-edition vinyl pressing.
The 2x platinum nü-metal classic will be issued on coke bottle smoke-colored vinyl, with only 2,500 copies being made available. The special edition is due out October 16 through Legacy Recordings, arriving just one day after the Ross Robinson-produced album officially celebrates three decades on October 15.
There’s also an extra treat included for fans of one of Jonathan Davis’ most recognizable vocal moments. The pressing comes with a bonus a cappella version of “Twist,” stripping away the instrumentation and putting Davis’ infamous scat performance front and center.
The anniversary edition is currently available to pre-order through Revolver, giving collectors an opportunity to pick up the limited run ahead of its October release.
Originally released in 1996, ‘Life Is Peachy’ followed Korn’s self-titled debut and helped cement the band’s growing influence over the burgeoning nü-metal movement. The album would eventually achieve 2x platinum status in the United States.
With its 30th anniversary now approaching, the new vinyl edition gives ‘Life Is Peachy’ another physical release while adding a particularly fitting bonus to one of Korn’s most enduringly chaotic tracks.
