Korn’s Ra Diaz Reunited With 15 Bass Guitars Stolen In Recent Las Vegas Area Theft

Korn bassist Ra Diaz has been reunited with 15 bass guitars that were stolen from a storage unit in the Las Vegas area roughly two weeks ago. The instruments were recovered by Henderson Police in Henderson, Nevada, after a tip from a fan who spotted markings linked to Diaz’s time in Suicidal Tendencies on one of the stolen basses at a local music store.

Henderson Police property crimes detective Jameson Harding said the fan’s observant eye helped speed up the recovery of Diaz’s gear.

“It definitely helped us early on to be able to get a couple of leads on recovering some of his property, probably a little bit quicker than we may have found them. Because it’s people that he knows and some of his friends who know his stuff very well. So, I think it was pretty helpful with timing.”

Harding also shared how meaningful it was to get one especially symbolic bass back — an instrument marked with the Chilean flag, reflecting Diaz’s heritage and intended for use on Korn’s upcoming tour stops in Chile.

“One that we recovered had a Chilean flag on it. And Mr. Diaz is from Chile. And so, they’re getting ready to tour there. He was just super thankful that we found that guitar because he said his plan the whole time was to come back to Vegas for ‘Sick New World,’ get that guitar and take it on tour with him. So, it was really cool to be able to give him that. It’s obviously part of his heritage. He wants to have that with him on this next leg of their tour.

They hung out for a couple of minutes with us in the office, just going over his stuff. He just seems like such a super guy. Extremely nice, very friendly with our staff here. And he’s been super thankful.”

Korn were on stage in Las Vegas, NV just days later — on Saturday, April 25 — performing at the 2026 Sick New World festival alongside System Of A Down and other acts, with the recovered basses now safely back in Diaz’s hands.
