Korn’s “Shoots And Ladders” Soundtracks New Video Shared By U.S. Border Patrol Chief Gregory K. Bovino

A song from Korn’s early catalog has unexpectedly surfaced in a piece of U.S. government-related media.

The nü-metal pioneers’ 1994 track “Shoots And Ladders” is used as the soundtrack in a newly posted video shared by Gregory K. Bovino, who currently holds the title of “Commander At Large” for the United States Border Patrol. Bovino has also been involved in high-profile leadership roles tied to this year’s immigration enforcement actions carried out by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

The video was uploaded to Bovino’s official Facebook account on December 15 and features narrated commentary centered on Isaiah 6:8 from the Bible. Visually, the clip includes footage of U.S. Border Patrol personnel geared up in vehicles alongside additional stylized imagery, all set to the backdrop of Korn’s bagpipe-driven early single.

As of publication, the band have not publicly addressed or acknowledged the use of “Shoots And Ladders” in the video.

In recent months, multiple artists across various genres have spoken out after discovering their music being used in content produced or shared by U.S. government agencies. In several of those cases, musicians claimed their songs were utilized without their knowledge or explicit consent, prompting public objections and, in some instances, formal requests for removal.
