Australian metalcore outfit Ocean Sleeper have officially signed with Rise Records and BMG Australia, marking the next chapter for the band with the release of their new single, “Break The Cycle.”
The track arrives alongside a new music video directed by Marc Vecchio and finds the band leaning further into a heavier and more urgent sound while maintaining the melodic and emotional hooks they’ve become known for.
Speaking collectively about the song, the band explained that the single reflects the realities of trying to grow beyond Australia’s local scene while operating independently.
“This song captures our struggle in breaking out of Australia and into the global touring market as an independent band. It’s fast-paced, heavier than before, while still keeping the emotional depth with one of our biggest choruses to date. We instantly knew this song was going to be something special.”
“Break The Cycle” serves as the group’s first release through their newly announced partnership with Rise Records and BMG Australia, and appears to signal a more aggressive direction for the band moving forward.
