Ozzfest is officially making its long-awaited comeback in 2027, with the iconic hard rock and metal festival set to visit three cities across the United Kingdom, United States and Mexico.
The announcement arrives after a brief countdown appeared online, confirming the return of the festival for the first time since 2018. The 2027 edition will also mark the first Ozzfest since the passing of its namesake, Ozzy Osbourne, who died in 2025.
Plans to revive the event have been teased by Ozzy’s family for much of this year, with his widow and longtime manager Sharon Osbourne leading the effort to bring the festival back. Sharon co-founded Ozzfest alongside Ozzy more than 30 years ago, helping establish it as one of metal’s most recognizable touring festivals.
The newly announced dates will take the festival to Milton Keynes, England; San Bernardino, California; and Mexico City, with the latter marking the first-ever Mexican edition of Ozzfest.
Ozzfest 2027 Dates
- 07/10 – Milton Keynes, UK – The National Bowl
- 09/11 – San Bernardino, CA – Glen Helen Amphitheater
- 09/18 – Mexico City, Mexico – Estadio GNP Seguros
The choice of Milton Keynes is particularly notable, as earlier discussions had pointed toward a possible return to Villa Park in Birmingham, England. That venue hosted the historic ‘Back To The Beginning’ farewell event for Ozzy and Black Sabbath in 2025.
A press release issued on November 5 confirmed the three-city plan, with Sharon emphasizing the importance of keeping the festival’s legacy alive.
“Ozzy was the first to launch his own traveling metal festival,” says Sharon Osbourne, OZZFEST’s co-founder. “And Ozzfest will always remain an important part of Ozzy’s legacy.”
The 2027 edition is being promoted by Live Nation and will begin in the UK on July 10 before returning to the United States on September 11. The festival will then make its Mexican debut on September 18.
The announcement also arrives around the 30th anniversary of the inaugural Ozzfest in 1996. The festival’s most recent edition took place on New Year’s Eve 2018 at The Forum in Los Angeles, where Ozzy headlined what would become the event’s last installment before its current revival.
According to the announcement, Sharon Osbourne will curate the 2027 lineups, with the full rosters expected to be revealed in the coming months. The Osbourne family have previously indicated that a headliner has already been secured, although no artist was named as part of today’s announcement.
Fans won’t have to wait long to secure their place at the returning festival. In keeping with the event’s Ozzy-inspired tradition, “early bat” tickets will go on sale tomorrow, November 6, at 10:00 a.m. local time for each location.
