Bilmuri Touring Guitarist Reese Maslen Steps Away Following Public Allegations

Reese Maslen has stepped down as a touring guitarist for Bilmuri following a series of serious allegations that surfaced publicly online earlier this week.

The allegations were shared in detailed statements posted by a former romantic partner, Celina Coma, on her Instagram account @cvltqveen, and include claims of repeated racist and misogynistic behavior, emotional abuse, intimidation, and controlling conduct during their relationship. Screenshots and additional context were provided alongside the statements, which she said primarily reflect events that occurred in the weeks leading up to the end of the relationship in August.

The accuser emphasized that her statements pertain solely to Maslen and are not intended to implicate any bands, companies, or individuals he is associated with, adding that many people in his professional circle may be unaware of the alleged behavior.

In her initial public statement, the accuser explained her decision to come forward and outlined what she characterized as a pattern of harmful conduct:

“Hello. After months of deliberation, I have come to the conclusion that this is a statement I must make, because remaining silent would be a disservice not only to myself but also to the countless others who are unknowingly affected by these actions.

Reese Maslen, you are a selfish, ignorant, racist, misogynistic, and disingenuous individual who either cannot or refuses to understand the harm you have caused. You hide behind the persona of an immature ‘funny guy,’ making edgy jokes and feigning ignorance of the impact of your words.

Your ‘it’s just an edgy joke’ mentality has been used to deflect accountability when confronted with targeted insults and statements. You repeatedly made jokes at the expense of my ethnicity, used stereotypes, and expressed beliefs about Asian women being submissive and docile.

You used racially charged caricatures and language in private group chats, defended it as humor, and dismissed my objections by claiming I had no right to be upset.

You threatened self-harm under the guise of jokes, monitored my location, raised your voice when questioned, and sent images of firearms while describing what would happen if you believed I was cheating.

You accused me of infidelity repeatedly, pressured me to stop modeling, and weaponized situations you had previously agreed to.

The way you treated me during my miscarriage was abhorrent. You dismissed my grief, hung up during a crisis, and called our unborn child ‘gross,’ refusing to acknowledge the trauma or attend counseling with me.

These statements are not inclusive of any individuals or companies he is associated with and pertain solely to him.”

Follow-Up And Final Statement (December 24, 2025)

Several days later, the accuser issued a second and final statement, providing additional context and asking that harassment and speculation be avoided:

“This will be my last and only statement on the matter. Please do not engage in name calling, threats, or speculation about people associated with Reese. Many are unknowing victims of similar behavior.

The majority of the screenshots and events referenced occurred during the month leading up to the end of our relationship in August. Claims that I condoned or laughed along with this behavior are untrue.

What I initially dismissed as poor wording or jokes eventually revealed deeply rooted misogynistic and racist beliefs. When these comments come from someone you love, it becomes easy to rationalize them or blame yourself.

Regarding the ‘Reequacious Jefferson’ incident, what began as an edgy joke escalated into something entirely inappropriate when it was used as a caricature in group chats for entertainment. To this day, he maintains there was nothing wrong with that behavior.

I do not claim to be a perfect partner. I am stating that I never attacked him personally, only his behavior. You cannot ‘gentle parent’ an adult out of internalized bigotry.

I am speaking now because his touring schedule has concluded and I have completed all medical appointments related to the aftermath of our pregnancy loss. If this were merely a difficult breakup, I would not be addressing it publicly.

I have been asked to remove my statements. I will not be persuaded or bought into doing so. Thank you for taking the time to read this.”

Reese Maslen Responds And Steps Down From Bilmuri

Following the public attention surrounding the allegations, Maslen issued a statement acknowledging his behavior and announcing his departure from Bilmuri:

“I exhibited behavior on several fronts during a previous relationship that I deeply regret. I am so sorry not only to her, but to anyone else these behaviors have affected.

At this point, I can only apologize and take the steps to be a better person for myself and everyone else in my life.

Effective immediately, I am stepping down from Bilmuri. I loved every second of my time with them, but it’s important that I take this time to work on myself.”

As of publication, Bilmuri has not issued a separate public statement regarding Maslen’s departure.
