Nü-metal-influenced collective Seven Hours After Violet have returned to the studio to track new material at Dave Grohl‘s Studio 606. Anchored by System Of A Down bassist Shavo Odadjian, the band are incorporating subtle touches of their mentor’s influence into the sessions.
Odadjian highlighted a unique piece of gear being used during tracking: the snare drum played by drummer Josh Johnson is the same one that John Dolmayan used on System Of A Down’s 6x platinum album Toxicity.
The band’s lineup draws from a broad spectrum of heavy music, including members of Winds Of Plague, Left To Suffer, and more, promising a fusion of metalcore, nu-metal, and progressive elements in the upcoming material.
Fans can expect these sessions to shape the next chapter for Seven Hours After Violet, blending both fresh creativity and nods to their System Of A Down roots.
