    SHARON OSBOURNE Says She’ll Reveal the Band She Removed from ‘Back To The Beginning’ After the Show

    After weeks of speculation, Sharon Osbourne has confirmed she plans to publicly name the band she removed from the bill for tomorrow’s ‘Back To The Beginning’ farewell show for Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne. In a new interview with Billboard, the Osbourne matriarch explained the group was cut due to financial motives, stating:

    “It’s not the time to make a profit. After the show I’ll let everybody know who it was. I think people will be shocked.”

    The July 5th event, taking place at Villa Park in Birmingham, UK, has been promoted as a non-profit celebration, with proceeds benefiting Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice. Sharon initially revealed the removal back in early June, telling Metal Hammer:

    “I had a huge, huge to-do with a manager over this celebration for Ozzy and Sabbath. And it was probably the worst way I’ve felt in years… he’s now going around making up bullshit lies because I threw his band off the bill.”

    Fan theories have swirled since, with early speculation pointing to Tool, who later confirmed their participation. Iron Maiden, once rumored due to past tension with the Osbournes, were also ruled out by Sharon herself. Megadeth were another rumored name, though Kelly Osbourne confirmed they were not the band in question.

    Wolfgang Van Halen, meanwhile, recently withdrew, citing schedule conflicts due to Mammoth WVH’s ongoing summer tour with Creed and more.

    The farewell show will feature performances by Metallica, Slayer, Guns N’ Roses, and more. It is scheduled for July 5th and will be livestreamed globally via backtothebeginning.com.

          Jay Benjamin plenty of younger individuals though…even Metallica, GunsNRoses, Steven Tyler/Areosmith and Pantera wouldn’t have been around when Black Sabbath started they were late 70s and 80s bands, Sabbath are early 70s.

        Coral Moyle Kelly said it wasn’t Megadeth either. Motley or Kiss it was money. Mustaine and company probably weren’t invited because he can be a dick, but not necessarily a money grabbing asshole. Motley makes the most sense given the past relationship and Nikki stealing publishing, from the rest of Crue. With Kiss as an outside guess because, if Gene couldn’t sell merch, and who knows maybe even the grass the fans stand on he will be a dick about things, stay tuned for your chance to buy a kiss condo in Detroit rock city, when he finds a developer here to help him.

        Ashley Stoneham because that’s all he could do. That was already announced before the show that he would only be doing 4 songs with black Sabbath and 4 songs of his own.

      I bet you it was fucking Rob Zombie. As a 37-year-old metalhead who has seen many of these bands, I really think Rob Zombie is a good guess, and I have yet to see anybody say it online. He’s in Hollywood, and the music industry for Christ’s sake. You’re not in both of those industries unless you love money. If it were true, this would be him showing no respect to the band that paved the way for his genre of music. I remember enjoying the merry mayhem tour.

      He is the only person I have not seen pay homage to Black Sabbath on YouTube (even Fred Durst sang “Changes,” in honor of Sabbath). I don’t care, whoever it is, I will never listen to them ever again. I will talk cash shit about this embarrassment to heavy metal when they are revealed, for the rest of my life. How dare anybody attempt make a profit off of Ozzy Osbourne’s last show? And we’re talking about a rich person who wants money. What disrespect to the entire metal community.

      I hope everybody is just as angry as I am. Ozzy deserves the best, and I was in tears watching that show. Whichever band wanted to make a profit off of such a sacred event can go suck their mom’s dick. Their attitude reminds me of the greed of Gene Simmons. Hope they never sell another record again. I but also like to think it wasn’t Rob Zombie, as Ozzy Osbourne definitely contributed to who he is today. Hell, I saw Ozzy with Black Sabbath on the 1998 reunion tour and it helped make me who I am today.

          Jennifer Winter I just remembered Rob Zombie touring with Ozzy and being buddy buddy all the time. I could totally see Sharon Osbourne asking Rob Zombie to come play and him refusing to because he thinks he’s too good to not get paid. I will take all of this back this second she reveals who actually did it…

      You know who cares. Lot of even the big bands one guy (and his wife!) made all the money. The other guys made a living and deserve to get paid. If she is so charitable, she should give Jake the song writing credits and royalties he deserves. This lady is no mother teresa she is ruthless and it is reported that she has screwed over a lot of people in her day.

        Mark Thompson Judas Priest wasn’t there due to a scheduling conflict. It said Rob Halford was upset but nothing he could do. Since he was committed elsewhere
