Skrapegoat, the newly formed project led by former Skrape vocalist Billy Keeton, has officially unveiled its lineup.
The announcement comes after Keeton’s efforts to relaunch Skrape earlier this year were reportedly hindered by legal opposition from former bandmates. In response, Keeton introduced Skrapegoat, a new band that is expected to celebrate Skrape’s legacy while also creating original material.
The group’s lineup was revealed on July 31st and includes several notable veterans from the nü-metal and industrial metal scenes.
According to the band’s announcement, the lineup consists of:
- Billy Keeton (Vocals) – Skrape, Audiotopsy
- Ilyn Nathaniel (Bass) – The Union Underground, Sky Knives, Genitorturers
- Angel Bartolotta (Drums) – Dope, Crossbreed, Sw1tched, Genitorturers, PIG, Team Cybergeist
- Spyder Z Prime (Guitar, Backing Vocals)
- Brad Balsama (Guitar)
The band issued the following statement regarding the newly assembled roster:
“We’re proud to officially introduce the lineup of SKRAPEGOAT.”
The statement continued by explaining that the group’s formation has been a collaborative effort over the past several months.
“Over the past eight months, these five musicians came together with one shared goal: to honor what came before while creating something that’s entirely our own.”
While details regarding new music have yet to be announced, the band indicated that more information about its formation and future plans will be revealed in the coming months.
“The story of how this lineup came together is one we’re looking forward to telling, and we can’t wait to share more as this next chapter unfolds.”
With experienced musicians from The Union Underground, Dope, Sw1tched, Crossbreed, and other notable acts joining forces, Skrapegoat is already generating interest among longtime fans of the early 2000s nü-metal movement.
