Slipknot appears to be gearing up for an extensive tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their 1999 double-platinum self-titled album. While the band has primarily focused on European and UK tour dates for this milestone, recent developments suggest they are now turning their attention to North America.
The website youcantkillme.com, has been affiliated with Slipknot for about a year, has undergone a retro-themed makeover reminiscent of the internet era when the band emerged. In addition to its nostalgic design, the site has been dropping hints and clues in recent weeks.
Adding fuel to the excitement, a billboard promoting the band and the aforementioned website has been spotted near Indio, CA, close to the annual Coachella festival grounds. This billboard, featuring the phrase “long may you die,” has caught the attention of fans, teasing a ‘one night only’ experience.
