A mysterious teaser site launched by the Slipknot camp, 742617000027.net, now features a countdown timer set to expire this coming Monday, July 21st. The cryptic webpage appears linked to the band’s plans for a special 25th anniversary deluxe edition of their self-titled 1999 debut album.
The multi-platinum masked metallers have dropped numerous hints that a major release tied to the album’s milestone is in the works. The site itself is packed with references and Easter eggs tied to the original era surrounding the album’s touring and promotion cycle, fueling speculation about what’s to come.
Fans can expect the countdown to reveal more concrete details about this commemorative project as the date approaches.
