Spiritbox’s Courtney LaPlante Mistaken for Poppy at GRAMMYs, Handles It Like a Pro

Spiritbox attended tonight’s GRAMMY Awards, where they were nominated for Best Metal Performance alongside Knocked Loose, Gojira, and others.

During red carpet interviews, vocalist Courtney LaPlante was mistakenly identified as Poppy, who was also nominated for her guest appearance on Knocked Loose’s Suffocate.

Rather than correcting the mistake, LaPlante took it in stride, playing along with the interview, stating:

I am Poppy and I am really happy to be here nominated with Knocked Loose. I really hope we win.
