The Ghost Inside Finish New Album, Announce Worcester, MA Show

by Seneca / Monday, 03 February 2020 / Published in News

Following a few harrowing years of dealing with the aftermath of the band’s life-changing bus accident in which both drivers were killed and left multiple members with incredibly severe injuries; Many that required several hours of surgery and physical therapy. Refusing to let the tragedy signal the end of the band The Ghost Inside have at long last announced a new album the first since 2014’s “Dear Youth.”

The band’s drummer Andrew Tkaczyk revealed the band’s progress on the most recent episode of Stray From The Path drummer Craig Reynolds’ ‘The Downbeat Podcast’ Tkaczyk commented (transcribed by Kerrang!)

“Back in January of last year I turned one of my bedrooms into a little studio, and the guys came out and we just started writing it. So when we got hold of Will [Putney, producer] to tell him we were interested in him producing the record, we also had Jeremy [McKinnon] from A Day To Remember on board, which we’ve had on the last two records.

How it worked was, we first initially met up in Orlando at Jeremy’s studio and Andrew Wade’s studio to do these pre-pro demos. And that was in May of last year. So he came there, and we all flew to Florida, and we spent two or three weeks in Orlando. And then we took a little break because we had our comeback show to do in July, so we took a little break to prepare for that, and then went back to good old Belleville, New Jersey to finish and track the record.”

Regarding their plans for the record:

“I don’t think we’ve quite settled on a name [for the album] yet – but the record is done, and literally as of last night we are listening to the mix, and all this stuff. So it’s super-exciting.”

The band had previously hinted they wanted to try and release new music by the time they hit Europe and the UK in June. The band has several shows booked including the newly announced July 11th show at The Palladium in Worcester, MA. The band intends to bring a ‘full lineup of bands…and new music’ along with them for these shows:

06/26 Gräfenhainichen, GER – Full Force Festival
07/04 London, UK – O2 Academy Brixton
07/11 Worcester, MA – The Palladium (outdoors)
