The Ghost Inside appear to be back in writing mode.
The California metalcore outfit have recently reunited for new songwriting sessions, with bassist/vocalist Jim Riley confirming the activity in a social media video shared on April 7. In the clip, Riley filmed himself while traveling to meet up with his bandmates, revealing the group has been actively developing fresh material together.
Although Riley briefly mentioned the title of one of the songs the band has completed so far, the audio was intentionally censored in the video — leaving fans to attempt some lip-reading detective work to figure it out.
The sessions mark the band’s first publicly confirmed writing activity since releasing their latest studio album, ‘Searching For Solace’, which arrived in April 2024. That record served as the band’s sixth full-length release and continued their post-comeback momentum following years of touring and rebuilding after their widely documented setbacks earlier in the decade.
No additional details regarding a release timeline, recording plans, or stylistic direction for the new material have been revealed yet.
