The HU Recruit Nothing More’s Jonny Hawkins For New Single “Lost Soul,” Announce ‘HUN’ Album

Gold-certified Mongolian folk metal outfit The HU have announced their new album ‘HUN’, which is scheduled for release on July 24th through Better Noise Music.

Alongside the announcement, the band have premiered the new single “Lost Soul”, featuring guest vocals from Nothing More frontman Jonny Hawkins.

The song continues to expand on The HU’s signature “Hunnu Rock” sound, blending traditional Mongolian instrumentation and throat singing with modern hard rock and metal influences.

Speaking about the meaning behind the song and the collaboration with Hawkins, Galaa explained that the track carries a message about perseverance and staying true to yourself.

“We have been unpacking our surprises one by one. Hunnu Rock transcends through culture and in that respect, we have made ‘Lost Soul’ with Jonny Hawkins.

To be not lost on your life journey, not losing your values, and go through life and having a courage to face the life obstacles are messages we are sending our fans through this song ‘Lost Soul’ and in our next album, HUN.”

Reflecting on the collaboration, Hawkins praised the band’s dedication to their craft and described the experience as something entirely new for him creatively.

“I am so excited to team up with a band as committed to their craft as The HU. It’s unlike anything I’ve done before.”

The band also opened up about the creative process behind ‘HUN’, revealing that they intentionally took their time crafting the album while already planning ahead for future material and larger live productions.

“We took our time to do this right, and we’re so glad that we’re almost ready to release what we have worked on these past few years.

Now, we are also focusing on the performances and working out a brand-new setlist. We want to play bigger venues so we can do extensive production, and bring in some amazing elements of our culture, and play these ideas to our fans. And, as well as our third album, we have some amazing ideas for another album already!”
