Japanese metalcore juggernauts Crystal Lake have officially entered the final stretch before the release of their seventh studio album. To mark the occasion, the band has dropped a dark, high-energy music video for their latest single, “Neversleep,” featuring a heavy-hitting guest appearance from Myke Terry (Volumes, Fire From The Gods).
A Hybrid “Hardcore” Masterclass
Directed by Koh Yamada, the video for “Neversleep” captures the chaotic, “hybrid” energy that has defined the band’s new era. Founding guitarist YD described the track as a return to his roots, blending traditional hardcore and punk with the band’s signature technical precision.
“This track is the one where I poured in the Hardcore/Metal/Punk elements that I’ve carried as my own background to the limit. It’s simple, but with an extra twist… Every part of the song is made for you to dance, so don’t think too much — just feel it and enjoy. Stay heavy.”
The Weight Of Sound: A Star-Studded Return
“Neversleep” is the fourth single taken from the band’s highly anticipated album, The Weight Of Sound, arriving January 23, 2026, via Century Media Records. This marks the band’s first full-length effort featuring vocalist John Robert Centorrino, who joined the fold in 2023.
