          Nate Wymann I don’t know. I didn’t watch the show in later years. I think the only one I watched is when knocked loose made an appearance. But late night tv doesn’t matter. People have internet, streaming services, go to shows, have word of mouth, etc. They don’t really need tv. MTV/VH1, etc was a different breed at a different time. This day and age, bands don’t necessarily need that exposure. And besides, when bands go on things like that, certain people will call them sellouts anyway. You’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

The closest was the mid late 80’s. That was mainly Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, and the accessible bands. Ozzy wasn’t mainstream, even not a number 1 album. Metallica weren’t mainstream until the black album. I hear older metalheads bitch about the black album to this day. The only genuine metal band that charted in my opinion was Pantera.

      I did love that Kimmel had a lot of rock bands on early and often had them play more than one time. But got burned out on him quick enough to stop watching the first season.
