The iconic nü-metal-laden soundtrack for the 2002 vampire film Queen Of The Damned is getting a new life on red vinyl, set for release on January 2nd via Rhino Records. The film, an adaptation of the Anne Rice novel, starred Aaliyah and Stuart Townsend, but the soundtrack has its own legendary status in the metal and alternative community.
The album notably marked KORN frontman Jonathan Davis’s first foray into film scoring, collaborating with Richard Gibbs. Due to label-related contractual restrictions, Davis was unable to perform his own vocals on the tracks. Instead, he enlisted several iconic artists, including the late Chester Bennington (Linkin Park), Wayne Static (Static-X), Marilyn Manson, David Draiman (Disturbed), and Jay Gordon (Orgy).
