Last Friday, TMZ reported that Wilson had been “permanently” removed from Slipknot, though neither the musician nor the band has officially commented on the situation. Since then, fans have been left piecing together clues from social media activity and cryptic posts shared by individuals connected to the group.
According to TMZ’s latest report, unnamed sources close to the band claim that Wilson’s behavior toward his bandmates had become an ongoing issue that ultimately reached a breaking point.
The report alleges that discussions regarding Wilson’s removal had been taking place for some time and that his firing was viewed internally as something that had been “a long time coming.”
TMZ further reported that the band was caught off guard when news of Wilson’s alleged dismissal surfaced publicly before an official announcement could be made.
