Slipknot‘s recent lineup additions may have been inadvertently revealed due to a blunder on their teaser website, youcantkillme.com. This site, designed to promote the band’s 25th anniversary of their 1999 self-titled album, features a throwback design reminiscent of early internet aesthetics.
However, hidden within the site’s assets were possible clues about the band’s new members. A teaser video included images labeled with the names of Slipknot members, as well as ‘Eloy‘ and ‘Jeff‘. The inclusion of ‘Eloy‘ strongly suggests that former Sepultura drummer Eloy Casagrande has joined Slipknot. As for ‘Jeff‘, fans speculate it could be Jeff Karnowski, known for his work with Slipknot percussionist M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan in Dirty Little Rabbits.
The teaser site also hinted at an upcoming Slipknot performance. The band is set to play at the ‘Sick New World‘ festival in Las Vegas on April 27th, marking their first show since drummer Jay Weinberg‘s departure last November. Additionally, Slipknot seemingly announced an intimate show at Pappy + Harriet’s in Pioneertown, CA on April 25th, reportedly featuring their new drummer, Eloy Casagrande.
This cryptic promotion follows the appearance of youcantkillme.com on a billboard near the Coachella Festival in Indio, CA earlier this month. Slipknot continues to intrigue fans with their enigmatic marketing strategies as they prepare for their upcoming performances.
