Glam metal icons Mötley Crüe have unveiled their latest single, marking their first release since 2019. This track is notable for featuring the guitar skills of John 5, who joined the multi-platinum band in 2022, stepping in for Mick Mars amidst ongoing legal disputes surrounding Mars‘ departure.
The band has inked a deal with Big Machine Records for the new single, titled “Dogs Of War,” as well as forthcoming material. Produced by Bob Rock, known for his work with Metallica and 311, the recording sessions were a reunion of sorts, given Rock‘s extensive history with Crüe.
In a recent interview with Billboard, vocalist Vince Neil described the single as a blend of old-school charm with a fresh twist. He expressed excitement about the track’s appeal to fans, emphasizing its nostalgic yet contemporary sound.
Additionally, Neil revealed that the band has recorded a cover of the Beastie Boys classic “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party)” for future release, adding to their repertoire of energetic live performances.
